Come out this Thursday (December 5th) from 4-8PM to kick-start your holiday shopping with the 3rd Annual Peace, Love & Grant Street celebration.
The weather looks like it’s going to cooperate with little chance of snow and the high near 40 degrees – perfect December weather for exploring the many shops, food trucks and vendors along Grant St.
Visitors to this years event can either explore Grant Street on foot or use the trolley that will be available to shoppers for the evening. The evening will feature shopping at many businesses, work by local artists, live music, food trucks, free holiday movies (at the Grant Street Neighborhood Center) and even Santa Claus himself!
Stop by the Gypsy Parlor (376 Grant St) for the after party and indulge in free Hors D’oeuvres, local & seasonal beers and much more.
All of the food trucks will be parked in the lot at the corner of Grant and Potomac. Click here for more information about this year’s Peace, Love and Grant Street – we’re looking forward to seeing you!
It has finally come to an end. This Tuesday (October 29) is Larkin Square’s final Food Truck Tuesday of 2013 . It is sad , but it’s been an amazing season for everyone, the trucks and customers, who came down to grab something to eat and explore a revitalized part of the city. We hope you can come out this week because, without a doubt, it’s going to be a spectacular night.
In honor of Halloween everyone is encouraged to dress up in costume (you’ll get a $1 off your drink from the trucks)! Make sure the kids bring a bag or pillow case or bucket – any kind of candy carrying vessel – because they are all welcome to go truck to truck TRICK OR TREATING!
And finally (and this is off the charts cool) the amazing Grateful Dead cover band Workingman’s Dead is going to perform! But this is not just a typical show, they will be playing the Dead’s set from their 1990 show at Rich Stadium! None of the traffic hassle with trying to get to the stadium, no stress waiting for A Miracle, no sadness in realizing that you just saw one of the last shows Brent Mydland ever played (he died 10 days after the Buffalo show) just all of the amazing music from that magical Summer night!
The night’s party starts at 5 and we’ll be serving until the party stops at 8.
This is going to be so incredible you’ll kick yourself if you don’t go! A couple hours in the cold wouldn’t be unbearable. It ends at 8PM so you can’t say you don’t want to be out late! Come out, enjoy the last little bit of your summer routine! Hear some spectacular music! Eat delicious food (and pick something up for lunch on Wednesday)! It’s a perfect way to spend the last Tuesday of October 2013.
This Friday (October 25) come out to the Iron Island Museum from 5-9PM for a unique and exciting Halloween event, the WNY Food Truck Association’s Haunted Food Truck Rodeo.
This is going to be fun evening and a great way to kick-off the Halloween Weekend. We will be serving and so will a bunch of other food trucks (R & R Barbeque, The Cheesy Chick and Lloyd’s to name a few) and we promise to keep you full but begging for more!
In addition to all the trucks there will be Haunted Tours of the Iron Island Museum ($5), Psychic Readings by Rev Patti ($20) and FREE Halloween movies to watch while you eat.

Come and join us this Friday night (October 18, 2013) and celebrate the new permanent, outdoor installation at the Burchfield Penny Art Gallery (1300 Elmwood Ave). This installation is the first of it’s kind in the world, so there is no excuse NOT to come to the party!
There is going to be food trucks (US and a couple of those other guys) and a live musical performance by DME (led by Tomás Henriques). Then at sunset the three projection towers will turn on forever. This new installation is transforming the Gallery’s facade into a 24/7/365 media gallery!
This is the “worlds first permanent environmentally-responsive, outdoor audio and video environment” and will feature works by project co-designer Brian Milbrand, Steina, Barbara Lattanzi, Meg Knowles & Chris Gallant.
For more information about the event, including the inspiration behind the installation and a lot of technical & architectural information check out the link here.
